I don't think there's enough material for a book yet. I've already almost told here everything they've told to me. A book would require a lot more. And I really don't have time for all the studying it would take at the moment.

Well, it just happens I am writing a book. In one time, one place, one of the main characters (if not THE main character) has a half Finnic background, but hails from the Soviet Union due to aa situation not unlike the stories of the Ingrians here. Although she would be a granddaughter of one of those like the Ingrians here.

Yes, I am talking about miss "Sexy Spetsnaz".

This ain't "wreck a book", so please do contact me private if interested in a bit of cooperation or want to discuss it. Due to this thread's nature of actually working like "wreck a book" in this case, I left this public just for laughs. ANd as a kind of thanks to anyone involved.

Somewhere, I was sure it was in this topic, but it doesn't look like it, someone mentioned India and that they were involved on both sides of the war. Since this seems to be the general history topic, could someone elaborate on this? I did look on Wikipedia but it's too wordy and I have no idea of half the things they're talking about. The topic kinda fascinates me...my grandparents are from India and my grandfather remains a racist bigot, he has a grudge against Japan for bombing them as well as Muslims and black people (can't say African-Americans, we ain't in America :P) for some reason, and I'd like to know the full story. I see India was still under British control at this point, so who was the actual leader? Was the Maharaja a prisoner in his own country or something?

Don't know if this helps much but there's a short version on "Indian in WW2" on Word War II Database:
http://worldwar2database.com/html/india.htm

The page also provides a number of "futher reading" links, including some to Wikipedia.
