What do Moon Nazi's do for fun at night/weekends after reading Mien Kampf or Signal and marching around the launchpads to a favourite selection of oompahpah music?

Germans=beer anywhere, so I'm sure theres at least 1 "Fuhrerbunker bar" on the moon  but will individuals have any access to Earth transmissions and see how we have gotten on without them in the past 73 years?... JFK's space race, fall of Communism, 9/11, Justin Bieber?

1945 brainwashed invaders might be a fun contrast, but its it the future and not just modern day so i hope there will be small developments in their mindset when they go off to battle Earth.

Have you had any pauses or legal warnings in relation to the differences of National humour in script writing? Germans always have a deadpan, ironic feel for a punchline that the British consider to be the worst in Europe maybe because we specicialise in deadpan irony

To joke about a long ago war might be even harder to pull off to Germans unless its made at the expense of everybody - and thats no bad thing either.

The only thing that really bugged me was that it is proclaimed a comedy, which is sort of a joy-kill. There are usually two reasons people watch films about Nazis; the first being a profound lust for action-packed flicks and the second being an uncanny taste for anything Nazi (fetish-like). If the film is leaning towards the comic side of things, it seems like you only get die-hard fanatics that will take interest and effectively lose a portion of your potential viewers.

There's a third reason to watch a film about Nazis: a good story. And that's the reason why WE wanted to do this film.

With national humour, I'm not so worried about Germans - in the end, we're making a fun out of a nation that doesn't exist anymore (Nazi Germany), which is as far from modern day Germany as can be. Maybe the only nationality who might get a bit offended are Americans, but they are a tough bunch, they can handle it.

No, the Ministry of Propaganda is "regulating the necessary amount of exposure healthy for a national socialist"; meaning the latest real news from Earth are probably from the 40's.

Dr. Strangelove must really suck then, being a comedy about a NUCLEAR WAR and all that. Didn't it have a nazi too BTW?

Will Iron Sky come in 3D if not in beginning will it see 3D version sometime in future?

I love to see too that someone will produce some kind of game of this movie so everyone can jump easily to this story.

The CGI wizards here at Energia just finished doing some effects for a 3D film. It was fun, but a very real reminder why Iron Sky won't be 3D - it would just add too much into the production time. Iron Sky is already hugely ambitious film for the budget we have even in 2D.

Sure a 3D conversion later on is theoretically possible, but not something we plan on doing.

Iron Sky is political allegory now isn't it? Rather symbolic of an entity we thought could never harm us, yet is descending down to destroy civilization. The notion that the producers of great wealth would bring the world to its knees is as absurd as the notion that Nazis from the moon would destroy mankind.

Newest trailer has text:
BLIND SPOT PICTURE
PRESENTS

Did you change your firm's name again? (First ST, then Energia, now Blind Spot?)

Any progress with those .... erm ..... if I say what I want to say I'll get myself and probably you guys into trouble so I'll be civil and rephrase.

Any progress with those nice people at Revolver who decided to only release the movie for a single day :(

I had the following reply from Revolver
REVOLVER OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON IRON SKY RELEASE

We recognise the concerns of the makers of IRON SKY and appreciate the support of the fans. We ourselves have been huge supporters of the project since day one, coming on board in 2009.

We feel this release structure is very much in line with the spirit in which the film was made, being available both on the big and small screen almost simultaneously.

We have seen all of your feedback and contrary to the opinion of a few we are not trying to 'kill' 'bury' or 'dump' the film. Revolver is still in discussion with the exhibitors about extending the cinema run. Come out on the 23rd May, show your support, make IRON SKY day a huge success and lets keep the film playing on the big screen!
Still not sounding like a firm commitment to a decent length run to me.
