Why has there always to be the general statement that SW6 is a parody of StarTreck and B5?

SW series begun as a parody, or to be more precise, a fan film project, but nowadays it is grown up, it has it's own story, it's own history, it's own characters (ok, ships are cloned from ST/B5). It's in no way a remake of anything,

it's an original Torssonen/Vuorensola-film!

Honour to whom honour is due.

I remember someone mentioning this earlier also, but now that I've seen it with my own eyes, I'll put it here also: Star Wreck was also featured on the latest episode of 3D World, with a full two pages article.

The Franco-German TV channel Arte recently ran a documentary on Wreck as part of their "Tracks" series. Here's the scoop (in French):

"A Singapore's preferred electronic and electronic lifestyle magazine" 'Go Digital' did a good, full two-spread article about Star Wreck. They presented a good story, plus introduced the team: Timo Vuorensola, Samuli Torssonen, Antti Satama and Tiina Seisoo.

Could it be that this was the 'stress' she mentioned in the OT-Thread? Now I'll lay down on the floot and cry some bitter tears. No matter if she is the one or not, tears are good for everything. :-)

Yesterday, The Guardian wrote an article about Star Wreck on their Tech Pages, focusing on Internet filesharing and taking Star Wreck as an example for the story.

Not a straight media-thing, but we were also mentioned on Microsoft's research "On the feasibility of Commercial Legal P2P Content Distribution", in a pretty good company :)

http://research.microsoft.com/~pablo/papers/CCR.pdf

3. Promoting distribution of legal content

Commercial P2P networks should make an effort to foster
the distribution of legal content. Following several rulings
against P2P file sharing systems (e.g. [11]), it is important
for commercial P2P distribution systems to publicize and
encourage their legal uses and applications. In this regard,
applications such as those recently enabled by the BBC for
distributing TV shows, the World of Warcraft ingame patching
system, or the distribution of the independent film Star
Wreck, can help improve perception over P2P networks.

To make sure there is no confusion of the matter - and in order to avoid repelling certain groups and/or people, shouldn't you have appended a disclaimer - something in these lines...:

Having Star Wreck been mentioned in Microsoft® white paper, it cannot be construed as Star Wreck's endorsement of Microsoft® Corporation, its policies or any of its products.
